A Funny

In some foreign country a priest, a lawyer and an engineer are about to be guillotined.

The priest puts his head on the block, they pull the rope and nothing happens -- he declares that he's been saved by divine intervention-- so he is set free .The lawyer is put on the block, and again the rope doesn't release the blade, he claims he can't be executed twice for the same crime and he is also set free.

They grab the engineer and shove his head into the guillotine, he looks up at the release mechanism and says, "Wait a minute, I see your problem..."

I figured it must be pick on engineers week somewhere in the world.

And I always thought engineers were the exceptionally smart ones. I'll miss him, but it won't!

Good one!
Funny thing is, I'm in the middle of reading a TERRIFIC book by Canadian author Terry Fallis in which he pokes a great deal of fun at engineers. You'd love the book, Alan. If you get a chance, pick it up.
No, I'm not getting a commission...

HA! That's excellent! I will have to share it with my middle nephew, who at nine years old is already planning his career as an engineer.
