Has CHRISTMAS Lost the Magic for You?

Let's talk weather, writing, educational topics, humourous stories. Maybe some weird stuff...and photos of me in a fez. Follow the #fridayflash hashtag in the right hand margin (under the Labels heading) for a sampling of my flash fiction.

LOL, cute, Alan!
Happy Valentine's Day to you as well!
Kara
Very Sweet of you, Alan. Big hug and lots Kisses to you too. Just remember miles of smiles are between us.
Happy Valentine's Day, Alan! Be assured all your girl fans love you and wish you nothing but romance, flowers and chocolate! Your beastie Valentine is adorable, taxidermist or not!
Ha! The little critters have pretty short lifespans, anyway. Cheers, Alan.
Those little guys are so cute! But it seems like the boy hamster would be carrying the flowers in his cheek-pouches.
Happy Valentine's Day!
I don't like Valentines Day. It's another one of those "special days" that really don't mean anything to me because it's a day when we "have to" treat people special. What about the other 364 days of the year?
Awwww, this almost makes me like Valentine's Day.
Hamsters: the most romantic pet.
Happy Valentines Day! Of all the romantic rodents, hamsters are the most.
Kara- Thanks very much, Kara!
Jarmara- Yes, think of hugs and kisses travelling airmail across the Atlantic.
Cathy- Romance or chocolate...tough choice. Er, what kind of chocolate?
Aaron- I did not know that about the lifespan. We had no rodents. My childhood was lacking.
KC- Hamsters have pouches? So you're saying the boy-hamster would probably just eat the flowers?
Wendy- I agree totally. This falls into the same overly-commercialized category as Christmas in my books. I actually thought it would be a cool way to use the hamster picture.
Cate- Ah...another cynic. I've heard that copious amounts of chocolate can make one feel better. Or at least indifferent.
Nat- I DID NOT know that. Surely the pug must run a close second.
Laurita- Well, if I'm ever in the market for a rodent I'll know what way to go. Did I ever mention that Sean used to have a 'skinny pig' as a pet. Sort of like a guinea pig, except naked.
Why does it surprise me that you guys had a naked pig in your house?
Sorry, I meant "not" surpise me... too much chocolate...
What a sweet picture! Are you turning into a softie on this Hallmark day? :)
As sweet as the picture is... I have to agree with Wendy Tyler Ryan's comment above. What about the other 364 days? Let me tell you about some of those days.... MY valentine brings me a cup of tea every morning while I'm getting ready for work, and on those mornings when there's snow on the van, he dons his fez, clears the windshield and shovels the end of the driveway so I won't have to. Yup... now there's a REAL Valentine. He's special every day!
Haha, very cute! I wonder how these taxidermists managed to put the rodents in their positions... O.o
:)
I had a lovely Valentine's Day - was very spoiled with flowers and dinner.
Cathy- You again! The naked skinny pig was pretty small and didn't eat very much. Err, he didn't live very long either.
Laura- Everyone knows that the big teddy bear has a soft, mushy core.
"V"- Bet he does laundry and grocery shopping as well. And he wears a fez! Sounds like my kinda guy...a real keeper.
Mari- Yeah, we need someone to do a 'behind the scenes' documentary about this.
Danielle- Spoiled, indeed. Did you also get a big box of chocolates?
Awww, I came back to read V's comment. So sweet. She must be some kind of special woman, I'd say.
